New Balance 110 review, part 3

I sit admiring the stylish splash of red on the heel of the shoe.

Moments later I realize it’s blood.

Bright side: The rock in my shoe totally distracted me to the point that I didn’t feel my heel rubbing.

Score one for the rock plate.

Other than that, we seem to be bonding well.

    Well, let’s see.
Several posts back you noted that the new shoes had started to “smell funny,” just as the old ones had. Now we hear of a heel rubbing to the point of bleeding.
    Let me guess… No socks?

Sorry, big guy. No socks, no sympathy.

    • There is a warning on the inside of the box that reads: “NOTE: THESE SHOES MUST NOT BE WORTH WITH SOCKS.”

i still want these shoes. i just became a new balance gal and i’m hooked despite the blood.

    • yeah all kidding aside i like them a lot. Lots of room in the toe box, super light but still has rock plate and a nice toe guard for the big toe, and the tread is just-right aggressive. They’re a keeper.
