Longtime readers will recall that I recently converted to the Amish community so that I could properly enter a fried pie in my nutrition log. But being Amish creates a new problem with my running.
I am the world’s most finicky recorder of miles. I have been keeping running logs forever and am quite particular that my mileage be exactly accurate. There in lies the dilemma.
As an Amish person, how do I total my mileage? Do I take the number of miles I run each day and then add one? I assume one mile must be added each day to my total mileage because I’m Amish.
Because, after all, Amish is as good as a mile.
No, I don’t have a day job. I work nights. But thanks for your concern that I shouldn’t quit it.
