No apology needed

Amid mounting skepticism over the alleged uphill on my three-mile course in our “flat” coastal community, I present the actual elevation chart for the course. No, this is not a snapshot of the Alps. Yes, the climb is just as fierce.


Yes, I manage this climb with no technical equipment and no oxygen. Because I’m a trail runner, dammit. And that’s what we do.

    That’s a big, steep descent at about .75 or so. What did ya do? Go downstairs?

    GPS says your lowest elevation was 0, but sure looks like you got below sea level a couple of times between 1-2 miles. Did you fall in the bay? You’d probably lose the GPS signal under water, which would explain the absence of negative numbers.
