Cindy Brady and the Naked Lady: An operetta

All you need to know about today’s outing: Cindy Brady once appeared on “Gunsmoke.”

That was the theme for today’s stroll. If it made sense, I wouldn’t be out walking in the mud on a cloudy day. Wondering if vermilion is really a color at all, and why I never quite made it to the Vermilion Cliffs, and wouldn’t it be great if they made a Vermilion Clif Bar. Because I’m kind of hungry. And we need more red food.

The Naked Lady apparently was made official during my untimely exit. The fence around her is gone. Up close, the statue looks pretty much like it did from a distance, only closer. Art is complicated. Just seems so small, up against the ocean. Sure, I know it’s not really the ocean. But it’s the bay, which is connected to the gulf, which runs into the ocean. So if I started swimming here, I could make it 200 yards before I drowned.

Same ol’. Can’t breathe deeply enough to get hr up. Can’t get excited enough to hit 15s on the road. And I can’t get no satisfaction. I tried. And I tried. And I tried. And I tried. But.

None of which has anything to do with Cindy Brady and a goat and Gunsmoke. And let’s just keep it that way. Thanks.
