dreamers

She’s 64, she’s already failed four times, and sharks are not shy about their love of swimmers as a tasty afternoon treat.

So why Is Diana Nyad halfway between Cuba and Florida, doing a quick backstroke while leading a rendition of Happy Birthday for one of the crew?

Beats the hell out of me.

I guess dreaming is all we have. When you quit dreaming, you quit living.

I’m running on a treadmill in my 472nd attempt at some sort of comeback. People look at me and wonder why. Beats the hell out of me.

At least now I have a scapegoat. Diana made me do it.

Dream big. Or don’t bother dreaming at all.

The older I get, the more my dreams seem to fade. Thanks to you, Diana, Little “B” and a new young man I met that runs on our XC team that I will blog about one day, I am able to continue dreaming, smaller dreams, but dream just the same….thank you Gary for being you!
