why i rarely go to starbucks

nice barista: What can I get you?

me (reading from piece of paper): I’d like a double tall latte with an extra shot.

nice barista: So you’d like a triple latte?

me: I don’t know. This says double tall latte with an extra shot.

nice barista: It comes with two shots, so a third shot will make it a triple.

me: I don’t know. It’s not for me. I’d like a double tall latte with an extra shot.

nice barista: There’s no such thing.

me: I don’t know. I’m not really awake.

nice barista: I’ll just make it a triple latte. What’s the name?

me: Amanda.

nice barista: Huh.

I take the cup with my name on it.

nice barista: We need to put the latte in there first.

me: I told you I’m not really awake.

And then she charged me five bucks for a cup of coffee. I assume there was some sort of surcharge for the interrogation.

And that is why I mostly drink diet Coke.

    So glad you explained.

I don’t know what I’ll do if I’m ever unable to order a tall half-caf.
