mo: My aunt sent you pecans from North Carolina. They’re really good.

me: They taste different from Texas pecans? Why would they taste different?

mo: I don’t know, but they’re different.

me: Hey, Dad. What’s the difference between Texas pecans and North Carolina pecans?

dad: North Carolina pecans shouldn’t be allowed across the border.

It’s a good thing for the Jenster that Dad doesn’t work at the Texas checkpoint …

p.s.

Dad’s menu calls for humus, lentils and curry. These people don’t realize Dad lives in West Texas.

He wanted to know what humus is. I said sorta like mashed up ranch style beans except it tastes creepy.

I predict we won’t be giving up barbecue.
