On to the next challenge. It took me forever to find this quote. I thought about it a lot when I first read it a ways back, and I’m thinking about it a lot this week.

You can’t always win. All you can do is give it your all.

Today was a teeny bit better. Maybe it was the rain or the desperation or the perseverance. But whatever. You don’t become a runner by winning a morning workout, the prophet Parker said. The trial of miles; miles of trials. On to the next run.
