life is funny, part 392

Mo was rummaging around in the closet today and came across this flag, a relic featuring the signatures of the entire family from long ago before folks started leaving us.

I didn’t think much if it.

Until.

Niece the Elder texted something an hour later reminding us that one year ago today, Rick hopped on a metaphorical bus for an extended jaunt to the next world.

I’ve been miffed that he never sent me a postcard or something to let us know how he’s doing. I miss him.

I’m guessing this was his sign that he’s just fine. I can’t believe he actually made a deadline.

Life is funny.

And way too short.
